More Reckless Ben - Bricks & Minifigs Timeline Issues

 

If there is one thing that the Reckless Ben - Bricks & Minifigs saga has taught me, it’s that timelines matter. While I am pretty sure that I already knew that, this case has been a tremendous reminder. 

In my last piece on the subject, I discussed how the timeline revealed that the Josh Johnson/Ammon McNeff meltdowns in March were suspicious, pointing toward knowledge they potentially received from Detective Medina Dore after her sweeping search warrant on all of Reckless Ben’s Google data. Yes, that is a theory, and not an accusation, but again, at that point in March, no video had been released. 

However, on a recent live stream by BJC Investigates, another piece of the puzzle came together, and again it involves the timeline and Detective Dore. 

In an amazing coincidence (something I personally don’t believe in), Dore’s sweeping (and likely unconstitutional) warrant was requested and signed moments after Matt McNeff and Ki McCallister got off the phone with a detective from the Keizer, Oregon police department, who was still investigating the LEGO theft. 

Think about that for a minute: Matt and Ki get off the phone with the police, and suddenly, now almost two months after Ben left Provo, Detective Dore out of the blue requests a warrant for potential crimes she knew in December weren’t applicable. Crazy coincidence, right? And once again, a reminder that the first video hadn’t been released. 

Incredibly, the guys at BAM knew Reckless Ben was a YouTuber, but as of February hadn’t published anything he had recorded on this topic. But included in the police record for the case, which was referred to the DA’s office for potential prosecution (why they passed is an unknown), is the fact that the detective investigating in Oregon had viewed the videos, and potentially mentioned that in his conversation with Bricks & Minifigs corporate.

The review of that Keizer police report was enlightening, and on multiple occasions again showed, in interview/statement form with the police, that Brandon Best, Josh Johnson, and Ammon McNeff cannot keep a story straight; at every turn it changed, and their statements were littered with lies. 

At this point, this case going to trial will be a problem for Bricks & Minifigs, Josh Johnson, and Brandon Best, and depositions or testimony would be popcorn-worthy. Why? Because their story has changed at every turn (including to the police), and Bryan, Crystal, and Ben have pretty much stayed consistent.
